So...this last weekend we went on our annual trip with Kade's sister Brittani and her husband Adam to a cabin in the Uintas. We bring our dogs, go hiking, etc. This time, we both had babies with us, so hiking was a little more difficult, but they sure loved it.
We were all having a great time, until Macy, our dog, had an unfortunate accident. We were on a hike, and she was running through the trees and bushes, and ran right into a sharp log that was hidden under a bush. The log went several inches into her neck muscle and she was bleeding a lot, so we rushed her back down to Orem to the puppy emergency room, where she got 7 stitches and a drain put in the wound (very gross). The doctor said she was lucky to be alive. So a few days and lots and lots of dollars later, our little Macy is doing much better. The stitches and drain were removed, and now she just has a little hole in her neck that the doctor says should close up in a few more days (again....very very gross). To keep the wound clean and stop her from licking it, we decided against the giant cone around her neck, and just keep a small old t-shirt on her instead. I didn't want to gross anyone out, so I didn't post any pics of the actual wound. But here are a couple of little Macy in her t-shirt:

Awww! Poor doggy. So did it ruin your trip?? And by the way, you never answer your phone and I also have wanted to be in an earthquake secretly so ha ha ha!!! Just kidding. You can move down here by me if you want and be in the next one with me!!
Sounds fun up until the macy accident. Poor doggie! We miss yuou guys!
